WORSHIP DIRECTOR
I was born in California, spent a few years in Houston, Texas, 20 years in Orange County and the rest in Riverside County as the youngest of three children. The oldest is my sister Diane who resides in Texas, then my brother John who resides in Rancho California.
My interest in music began in my elementary schools days listening to The Beatles on a hi-tech AM Transistor Radio—one ear plug—pretty cool stuff! I played the clarinet for 4 years in the school band but realized at one point that it was really hard to sing and play the clarinet at the same time.
A decision was made and my parents bought my brother and I our first guitar. We had to share it and at times fought over playing time. Eventually we each got our own and learned to play together. My brother accepted the Lord early on and, through persistence on his part and concern for my salvation, shared the gospel with me many, many times. I am pretty stubborn…or so I’ve been told!
I married Kathleen Anne and, with her two young daughters Michelle and Nicole and my son Keith, we started an instant family.
It was 1989, Thanksgiving weekend, when Kathy and I accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We became involved in ministry at Calvary Chapel of Ontario with Kathy serving in the children’s ministry and myself in the worship ministry, mentoring under Tony Logan for 3 years. We then moved to Calvary Chapel Chino Hills. I led worship for about 8 years and at the same time started an “Outreach Team” that led worship at various churches throughout the Inland Empire and Orange County. I was asked to join the "Grace Family" in 2005, and after being the interim worship leader for 6 months I came on board full time…part time. My foremost calling is to bring those who love the Lord before His throne in worship and praise!
